What’s the pay like?

  • In the security field, it’s not uncommon for your hourly rate to be dependent on what post you are assigned to. At GSG we ask a lot of our employees, so we think they should be fairly and consistently compensated.

Unarmed employees will have a variable rate dependent on post, but armed employees will start at $25 an hour, with a pay scale that will go up to $35 an hour with additional opportunities for commission.

At GSG, we value your professional development, and the scale is based on certifications and consistent training.

  • Your hourly rate should feel like your hourly rate. More off the top to cover insurance makes you feel like you’re not actually making what you’re supposed to.

GSG plans to be offering free single healthcare coverage to full time staff. It is TBD what plan or company we will go with. We also want competitive family plans and to cover the same dollar amount of those plans as we invest in our single coverage.

We will also offer vision and dental coverages.

  • We want to be able to attract the best in the field as well as retain them. We want GSG to be a place you can dedicate a career to.

We plan on providing a 5% match 401k retirement plan, with the potential to have multiple plan options.

  • As many first responders are so dreadfully aware, often times your equipment has been handed down a dozen times and is on the brink of malfunction. Or uniforms made to fit someone else and fitting not unlike a trash bag.

We know your equipment plays a lot into your overall happiness at the workplace. After your initial probationary phase of grueling it out with adequate but used equipment, GSG plans to provide all brand new or freshly refurbished equipment and uniforms to every employee.
